1728A-Villa Flói
Eigandinn hafði fengið úthlutað frekar stórri lóð í námunda við Selfoss og hugðist byggja þar veglegt einbýlishús á tveimur hæðum. Þarna er verkkaupi sem elskar lífið en vildi hús sem væri tignarlegt í umhverfi sínu. Stórir gluggar ramma inn útsýni til allra átta og þá helst Ingólfsfjallið í norðri. Hönnunin gekk út á lífið og allt það góða sem það hefur uppá að bjóða. Dramatísk timburklæðningin átti að tóna við leikinn og það að við þurfum að njóta þess að vera til. Stór bílageymsla átti að rúma tryllitæki og fjörhjól og rennibraut á milli hæða átti ekki að tefja fyrir að komast út að leika.

The client had gained plot of land in the proximity to Selfoss in the South Region of Iceland. The house was to be on two levels and have a dramatic impact on the surroundings, by using the dark timber cladding. Other requirements from the client was that even though the building would be this statement of establishment it was also suppose to illustrate the good things in life. Large garage was to house the owner’s dirt bikes and snowmobiles, and there was to be a slide between the two levels. So, at the end of the day this would be a house that is serious – but not too much!
